The German Football Association (DFB) has officially submitted its bid to host the 2029 Women’s EURO, following its public announcement over the weekend.
Germany’s bid is centered around the slogan “Together WE Rise,” aiming to unite Europe and promote the growth of women’s football.
The DFB plans to break the one million ticket sales mark for the first time in the tournament's history, which they believe reflects the increasing popularity of women’s football in the country.
The bid, which took six months to prepare, was submitted virtually to UEFA by DFB President Bernd Neuendorf and the leadership team in Frankfurt.
"Our goal is to strengthen women’s football in Europe and make the UEFA Women’s EURO an economic success," Neuendorf said.
The proposed host cities include Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hanover, Leipzig, Munich, Rostock, and Wolfsburg. A final decision on the host will be made in December 2025.
